Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, 66 books, 40 authors, written over 2000 years, to be the divinely inspired Word of God, the full revelation of the nature and character of God. We believe holy men of God spoke as they were moved on by the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme authority on all theology, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

We believe in the One True and Living God who is the Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM”, who has revealed Himself as One Being co-existing in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is what is known as the Trinity; All 3 persons of the Godhead are equal in glory, honor and power. This is evidenced in the baptism of Jesus; where the Father spoke, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and Jesus came up out of the water.

God the Father is the creator of all things, “the father of spirits” and the author of eternal life.

God the Son, Jesus is Lord of all, the word made flesh, the only Begotten Son, all authority in heaven and earth has been given to him. He is fully God and Fully man. We believe in His Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Miraculous Ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Resurrection, Triumphant Ascension and Abiding Intercession and in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory as the blessed hope of all believers.

God the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, equal to the Father and the Son, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, and the distributer of the gifts and graces of the Spirit. We believe that man was created good and upright, for God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

We believe through the preaching of repentance from dead works and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ; that man is saved by grace through faith, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, and, he becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. And that there is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved. And we are saved by believing in the heart and confession with the mouth. This experience is also known as the new birth, where the person becomes “a new creation.”

We believe that the ordinance of water baptism, full immersion, as a type of burial with Christ, should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of an inward decision, Thus, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2, with diverse evidences, some being speaking in tongues and prophesy as well as evidenced by a power for witnessing and living an increasingly sanctified lifestyle. We believe in the power of God and the Presence of God and the gifts of the Spirit, as expressions of the Holy Spirit to the body of Christ and to the world. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian church and is a distinct separate blessing from that of the new birth.

We believe in the church (ecclesia), the governmental gathering of the saints. The church is the body of Christ, His Bride and Temple of the Holy Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven. A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a twofold purpose: The evangelization of the world, and the edifying of the Body of Christ.

We believe that Jesus led captivity captive and gave gifts to me. These gifts or offices are the 5 fold Ministry gifts that govern the Church of Jesus Christ, including Apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. We believe that While not all believers are called to the 5 fold office, All believers have an anointing from the Holy One and are commanded by Jesus to preach, cast out demons, heal the sick and speak with new tongues.

We believe in divine healing. The bible links the forgiveness of sin with the healing of the body as apart of the atonement. We believe that every believer has the right to divine healing, and that they can receive healing through faith in Christ’s atoning work, the laying on of hands, the prayer of faith, or sovereignly form the Spirit of God.

We believe in the second coming of Christ, which includes the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years. There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. The resurrection to eternal life of those who have fallen asleep in Christ, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, which is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
